FORE-Greening India (FORE-GI) Initiative

Foundation for Organisational Research and Education (FORE) is venturing into the role of a facilitator to institutional large land holders, industries and corporate bodies interested to invest in tree planting to meet their sustainability and carbon-offset targets.

Under our FORE-Greening India (FORE-GI) initiative we shall endeavor to contribute by adding value to the government's objective of increasing India's tree cover from the present 24.62% including trees outside forest, to 33% of the geographical area as envisaged in the National Forest Policy 1988.

This initiative aims to benefit farmers, promote gender equality by empowering women through local activities, and encourage community entrepreneurship. The tree plantation projects with agroforestry production activities integrated with tree-based entrepreneurship is one of the focus area of the Government of India in this aspect and we are committed to that. This multifaceted approach not only supports environmental sustainability but also contributes to the social and economic development of the region, ensuring a more inclusive and resilient community.

FORE as a facilitator, will create a comprehensive and effective plantation project proposal that supports the client organization’s sustainability objectives.
